Founder
Jamey Coleman is an original founder of GeoSurvey, and served as COO for many years managing all surveying operations for the company. He has over 25 years of experience in land surveying and has worked for GeoSurvey since its inception in 1996. Jamey has extensive experience in all aspects of land surveying, including detailed boundary analysis, ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, title report analysis, and project management. He currently serves the company as mentor for daily operations and client relations.
Jamey began his career in land surveying in 1991 in Marietta, GA. He is a graduate of The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography. He started working for GeoSurvey in November 1996 as a Survey Field Technician, leading land surveying crews collecting field data for large commercial developments and other significant projects. He progressed through all ranks of GeoSurvey during his career at GeoSurvey, ultimately joining the company as partner and COO in 2000. In 2021, he sold his ownership interest in GeoSurvey to the minority partners and plans to retire to his farm in Ellijay, Ga, during the next few years.
In 1998, Jamey obtained his registration as a Professional Land Surveyor in Georgia. Jamey his obtained his licensure as a Land Surveyor in Alabama in 2007 and North Carolina in 2010. He is an active member of The Surveying and Mapping Society of GA.
