Principal – Survey Project Manager
Gene Etris is a partner in the firm and a survey project manager managing many projects related to utility, infrastructure, and hydrographic mapping. Gene joined GeoSurvey in October 1999 and progressed through all field positions quickly. He directed a survey crew for six years as a Survey Field Technician, where he collected and analyzed survey data for several large projects that included a complete boundary and topographic survey of the Yerkes Primate Center at Emory University. He then worked in the office as a survey technician for one year, learning the processes related to the preparation of land surveying documents and the analysis of title inspection reports. Gene has completed many surveys for Lockheed Martin, including the F-22 Raptor Testing and Painting Centers.
Gene is a graduate of Truett McConnell College in Cleveland, Georgia and has attended Southern Polytechnic State University for survey related course work. Gene is licensed in GA as a Surveyor Intern, and expects to acquire his licensure as a Land Surveyor in the near future. He is also active in the local chapter for the Surveying and Mapping Society of Georgia.
