Our Resources
The equipment and software resources a land surveying firm utilize are actually very important! GeoSurvey equips our crews with Trimble robotic survey instruments, GPS systems, and data controllers. All of our crews operate the same type of equipment, resulting in reliable data collection across all of our projects. Our drawings are prepared utilizing Autocad and Carlson software, creating a universally accepted digital document ready for immediate use by designers and developers.
Survey EQUIPMENT
GeoSurvey equips all of our crews with Trimble S series robotic survey instruments and Trimble data controllers. These instruments are the most efficient robotic survey instruments on the market today, and enable our crews to perform entire surveys with no need for an instrument operator. Our crews also use Trimble RTK-GPS equipment capable of survey-grade accuracy that can be utilized concurrently with our robotic total stations and data controllers.
3D laser scanning equipment
GeoSurvey owns a Faro X330 laser scanner capable of collecting millions of 3D data points per second. We utilize this equipment to collect laser scans on structures, interiors, and other types of features.
We also own a Trimble SX10 laser scanning total station. This instrument is a 'hybrid' survey instrument that is capable of collecting conventional survey grade measurements and 3D laser scans from the same setup. This instrument is especially useful for developing point clouds of complex structures such as plants, buildings, and other similar features.
Software
GeoSurvey prepares all of our surveys in digital format utilizing current versions of Autocad and Carlson drafting software packages. Each survey is delivered to our engineering, architectural, and developer clients ready for use as a base map for their designs.
Vehicles
All crew vehicles operate late model white pickups with secure work shells. Our company logo and phone number are discretely displayed on the vehicle for identification purposes. All vehicles are well-maintained and present a professional image on any work site or project. We also own two spare crew vehicles to ensure no crew downtime is experienced due to vehicle maintenance or repairs.
Maintaining Our Equipment
Annual service and calibration is performed on all equipment or more often as needed. We also maintain a complete functional setup of crew equipment as a backup when equipment problems are encountered. This ensures that no crew downtime will occur as a result of equipment failure.
