Survey Project Manager
John Newman began working GeoSurvey in 2012 after interning at the National Park Service and working two years at Armstrong Land Surveying in Douglasville, GA. John has earned a B.S. in Land Surveying from Southern Polytechnic State University and has an extensive background in ALTA Boundary and Topographic surveys of large, developed and undeveloped tracts. As a Survey Project Manager for GeoSurvey, John oversees the operations of the field crews, prepares project proposals and analyzes boundaries and title reports.
John acquired is license as a land surveyor in 2014 while working at GeoSurvey. He has worked on many large and significant projects during his time here, including The Wesleyan School and the Westside Park Quarry. Both of these projects were extremely challenging and involved the use of many types of survey data and imagery that were brought together to result in the final surveys. John is licensed in Georgia and is an active member of the Surveying and Mapping Society of Georgia and the National Society of Professional Surveyors.
