GeoSurvey recently teamed up to assist The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art with their annual fund raising event “Chalktoberfest”. This event draws chalk artists from all over the world display their talent on the asphalt streets around the Marietta Square.
GeoSurvey was tasked with laying out the 70 artist squares on the pavement in an orderly and symmetrical fashion. At 5:00 pm Thursday afternoon, the Marietta Police closed streets for us while our team marked the artist squares with paint dots. Almost 300 points were placed utilizing seven team members and three Trimble robotic survey instruments in less than 1 1/2 hours!
This was a wonderful event occurred over the weekend beginning Friday Oct 8 until Sunday Oct 10 . The event attracted potentially the largest crowds to ever attend an event at the Marietta Square. Find out more about this annual event at Www.Chalktoberfest.com
